点评：If you are in Paris for 3 or more days, you may want to pay a visit to Pere Lachaise Cemetery, were dozens of historical figures rest today.
The most visited graves are Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde, but you have there also Apollinaire, Honoré de Balzac, Bellini, Bizet, Maria Callas, Chopin, Proust, Rossini, Moliere, only to name a few.
Take into account that I incidentally met George Harrison grave, which is not on the maps (on site or online). You can reach George Harrison in the route from Gambetta Entrance to Oscar Wilde, on the Avenue Circulaire.
You can buy a map at the entrances, but you can also find the map online or take a picture of the maps on display at the cemetery if you don’t want to buy one.
Since a proper visit to the place will take some time, considering the size of the Cemetery, you may be needing the WC which are available close to the Main Entrance and the Gambetta Entrance.
You have also fountains with drinkable water in many places.
I suggest to avoid starting the visit from the Main Entrance side, it is better to start from Gambetta Entrance, so that you can then go downhill from there to the Main Entrance side, instead of climbing in the opposite direction.
In order to do that, don’t reach the Cemetery from the Pere Lachaise or Philippe Auguste Metro stations, but use the Gambetta Metro station instead to arrive. You can then go home from Pere Lachaise or Philippe Auguste Metros.
