Memorable, despite the cost & staff attitude.

点评：Worth the price - just.
A long wait behind a non - booked party with staff not very welcoming or helpful was a poor start. More so as they were crammed like sardines into over full coaches for a most uncomfortable trip.
We waited for the next train, which was a wise choice, though there was nowhere comfortable to wait. This, for a not so cheap journey, and disappointingly the only funicular we had been on, which did not give Swiss Pass reduction.
However, the views at the top are spectacular. We were blessed by clear sunny skies & no wind. There are many walks at the top, though information on these could be better. There are a lot of places to sit & admire the scenery, at its best, as the peaks all had a capping of snow.
The cafe was basic - two types of sandwiches, for instance. It was also pricey.
Having recently been on the Stanserhorn via funicular & cable car to an excellent well pric cafe & well stocked shop , it would appear those managing this attraction exude an unwelcome complacency & can make plenty of profit just from the railway.
Never the less nature won on a memorable day.
