斯特灵城堡的点评
点评：It’s been years since I’ve visited either Edinburgh or Stirling castles. My memories were that Stirling was better than Edinburgh. I went to Edinburgh castle last November.
Stirling is so much better!
There’s far more to see and feels more like a castle. True, the original was trashed by Robert the Bruce so it’s a later medieval rebuild by the Stuart kings for whom money seemed to be no object. The renovation of the great hall is brilliant despite what some people think.
All the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. I was made welcome from start to finish.
I’d recommend the tours. They are free and start every 30mins lasting about 50mins. Big shout out to David who took us around sharing his insights and stories in such a great way. Great guy.
Yes, it’s a bit hilly but not as bad as some places I’ve visited.
Also check out the tapestry making exhibition. OMG. Such dedication by the weavers. Amazing.
