点评：The castle itself was amazing. The historical significance was very important and it is a beautiful place! However our guide, Julianna, was quite rude. There were around 15 people in the group of which 10 spoke English. As soon as Julianna started speaking it became clear that the tour was only going to be in German. She spoke so fast there was no opportunity for anyone to translate. Another guest asked her if she could speak English since there was so may of us, and she said “No, they should have booked the English tour.” However, they, like us, didn’t even realize that was an option. The guest then asked if she could at least slow down so we could translate and she said “No.”
The guide did speak English very well so it wasn’t a matter of she could not, she clearly just felt to stick to the rules. However, then she neglected to tell us about certain things on the tour that I felt were significant (like the tools in the corner of the room which were original). If someone asked, she’d tell about it, but she seemed bothered by questions.
While I understand that this was a German tour, when paying people ask questions, the guide should offer answers without making them feel bad. And if ALL guests say they are fine if the guide speaks English, kindly pointing out there was an EN tour but still doing it, is just good customer service.
Julianna did not seem to enjoy the job, she was not enthusiastic about it, and should not continue to do the job if she hates it. VERY disappointing.
