Beautiful cathedral
曼彻斯特大教堂的点评
点评：We have visited the Cathedral twice during our stay in Manchester, the 1st visit was during the day, met by very friendly and informative staff. The stained glass windows are stunning. We were in awe of the beautiful building.
We then returned the next night for the light show. We bought the silver tickets which I am really glad we did as other than a drink (in a paper cup) I saw no benefit for the extra price. Our tickets said to arrive for 18.30 which I precisely what we did and was told to go away until 18.45. when we came back we were towards the front of the queue which very soon built up into a long queue. The tickets said 19.00 but we weren't began to be let in until this time, once we got in everyone was just stood in the nave. Very limited seats for those that needed them
We could hear people complaining about the later start as they had trains to catch.
The show started around 19.15.
I must have misread the information as I thought it was a light show to music which was a walk through, I didn't expect us to be stood for the whole time not moving.
It seemed to be a celebration of all Manchester has on offer centred around the Cathedral. We'd travelled 2 hours to attend.
Am interesting evening but not what we expected, glad we attended with our silver tickets. Unfortunately I've seen better light shows in other cities.
