多佛城堡的点评
点评：Risking Dover's disapproval, I've got to say it's one of the most unpleasant towns I've ever visited - shame! Sort yourself out Dover.
The impressive bulk of the castle can be seen from many vantage points and increases the excitement for the coming visit! On paper Dover Castle is pretty pricey (although theres's an online booking discount) however, so many things are included in the ticket and so many layers of British history are revealed that it's amazing value especially comparing prices with some of the big historic sights in London.
A massive area ( this also means that nothing gets too over crowded ) - you'll do a lot of walking! I spent nearly four hours and still didn't see it all - there are also amazing views across Dover and the Channel. Most staff are friendly and helpful, would recommend wholeheartedly!
LONG uphill walk to the castle, so simply get the 'D' bus, from the railway station forecourt or from Pencester Road - outside Poundland - if you've ventured into the town centre - it goes ever 20 mins and stops across the road from the hill up to the entrance.
