Fascinating vision of England in the 15 and 1600's

点评：We were lucky enough to visit on a perfect warm sunny spring day with few other people around. The volunteers were welcoming and knowledgeable, the duty guide (I'm afraid I can't remember his name) was excellent in his knowledge and assessment of what we knew and were interested in. I asked a question he didn't immediately know the answer to but then found me in the market square to tell me of the answer he had found.
The displays were informative and interesting without being too unnecessarily detailed, they really gave an impression of what it would have been like to be in this place at a range of times in the historical past. The NT have become very good at this sort of thing!
It's not very large as such places go but enough for a couple of hours, the walled garden and tearoom were lovely on a warm spring day dotted with primroses.
