点评:We loved these cliffs as we walked from Arbroath to Auchmithie and back. The red sandstone has been eroded in all sorts of places to create stunning inlets, caves and shapes of rock. The footpath is excellent and well sign-posted. There’s a useful map board in the carpark at the edge of Arbroath (free with ice creams, loos etc) which we photographed to identify the named features. (Someone should produce and sell a little guide!). Please note that there is noting in Aucmithie other than ghastly loos (but any pier in a storm. . . ) and a pub/restaurant that looked great, but opens only at lunchtimes and evenings. But very peaceful. There were many people fishing for mackerel on the cliffs as we walked, done from very hard to get to places! But there are opportunities to get to the shore on parts of the walk. Totally wonderful day out!
