Overall, disappointing visit

点评：Overall , disappointing visit although to be fair the inclement didn’t help. Majority of staff very unfriendly and officious. Thought it was us, but heard other visitors complaining about being herded around in such an impolite fashion.
Lots of amazing pictures but was often too dark to appreciate many. I understand conservation issues of uv light etc, but they need to install appropriate lighting.
Wanted a coffee and cake, but apart from the cafe back at the entrance, there was no inside seating apart from a large fancy overpriced ‘dining restaurant’, where at 1pm there were a handful of people dining and tens of empty seats! We had people in our group where being able to sit was more than just welcome!
Went back to entrance cafe and surprise, surprise all seats were taken and there was a queue out the door !
Left and got drink offsite !!
Might have gone to the beach or Swiss Cottage , but no shuttle transport between 1 and 2pm as staff on their lunch break !! Seems strange as a visitor attraction when it isn’t cheap to get in!
