点评：Visiting this castle was the whole point of my trip to Scotland. I’ve been dreaming of coming to this castle since the late 90s when I saw it in a very famous movie. The outside is absolutely stunning and so picturesque. It’s no wonder that it’s the most photographed castle in Scotland, appearing on promotional material as well as calendars, magnets, posters, and everything in between. No photography is allowed inside the castle, but since it was rebuilt from ruins in the 1930s, it’s not like you’re missing seeing a traditional castle interior. The interior is much more like a family manor house. The staff was very knowledgeable and was able to give us overviews of the history of the castle as well as the family that owns and restored it. While I did take my time and see everything the inside had to offer, I spent most of my time outside, taking pictures of the exterior and selfies of myself in front of it. It’s so lived up to my expectations.
