Classic location, excellent set up, potted history & brilliant view of the Great Glen

点评：We visited on a sunny but windy March Sunday and enjoyed not only an interesting historic site, but a warm and professional welcome of which Historic Scotland should be proud.
The site combines a well-designed Visitor centre with good use of audio-visual guides and a simple tour route with tangible ruins, compact explanations and great views from the remaining tower.
The 10-minute introductory film in the Visitor Centre gave a fair impression of several hundred years of site use, building and conflict; and a 20-minute talk outside with a guide provided further detail about the Picts, Clan rivalries, Anglo-Scottish politics and how geographical features share roots in the vocabularies of wider Celtic communities.
A bonus was enjoying a tasty lunch in the site cafe and being able to use the partnering arrangements with English Heritage on entry. Definitely worth a visit; and good value for money.
