High handicappers first time
Golf at Gleneagles的点评
点评：We were fortunate enough to have been gifted a round of golf at Gleneagles, so we booked the Queens course for early November.
Arriving very early for our 11:20 tee time at 10:00, we took a walk around the amazing hotel grounds, then made our way into the plush looking Dormy clubhouse.
All concerns about pretension immediately vanished as we were greeted by a friendly, helpful guy who showed us where to get a couple of coffees and when we were ready he’d direct us to the range and trolly drop area.
The Dormy bar, again was a lovely place to enjoy some drinks, staffed by yet more friendly, efficient colleagues.
We used our complimentary allocation of range balls, given to us by another wonderfully friendly chap and proceeded to collect an electric trolly from the bag drop area, again another friendly , helpful guy sorted the trolley for us.
The final interaction prior to tee-off was with the starter, a chatty, helpful and insightful young guy with an obvious passion for the place who furnished us with tees , pencils and pitch repair tools.
The course itself was beautiful and in great condition. Fairways ran well, rough wasn’t too horrible and the greens were unlike anything I’ve played before, ultra fast and undulating, meaning that GIR, for me at least did not guarantee a good score.
The compulsory half way house was a welcome break after hole 10 as we enjoyed a couple of beers and snacks.
Post round drinks in the Dormy bar finished a wonderful day at Gleneagles.

在第 10 洞之后，强制性的中途休息站是一个不错的休息，我们在那里喝了几杯啤酒，吃了点零食。
在 Dormy 酒吧喝完饮料后，我们在 Gleneagles 度过了美好的一天。
