点评：It pains me to write this. I have been going to the Renaissance Festival for a good 30 years. It was always so much fun. I went last weekend and my experience was quite different. Tickets are expensive. The food is terrible! And overpriced! A turkey leg, which they are famous for, was $13! I can buy almost an entire turkey for that amount. I tried to return a meatball grinder because it was cold; had to argue that meatball grinders are warm. Used to be getting an apple dumpling meant an entire apple wrapped in pastry baked to perfection. Now its a Pillsbury croissant wrapping over pie filling. Used to be you would see all the characters wandering around the grounds. The king and queen, princesses, members of the royal court - frequently you saw them and interacted with them. We were there 5 hours, saw 1 character walking around. They have theme weekends too but honestly 1 weekend isnt any different from another. It just felt tired. And they just want to take as much of your money as possible. I wanted to get my 2 year old nephew a small sword. It was $35 for a plain, wooden sword. No thanks. Probably won't go back again. Which is a shame because its been a tradition for decades!
