点评：HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gemini Walks! Booked a 6-day itinerary to walk the West Highland Way Sep 29-Oct 4, 2025. Excellent communication and preparation by Gemini Walks made the logistics easy, and the lodging chosen for us was top-notch. No complaints at all, only praise. If you're visiting Scotland for the first time, may I suggest our itinerary? We flew into Glasgow and stayed downtown 2 nights (this was not part of the Gemini WHW itinerary). We toured the city - Glasgow Cathedral, the Necropolis, and the Scotia Bar (Glasgow's oldest pub) were highlights. We took a day trip by train to Stirling to see Stirling Castle and the William Wallace monument (Scotand's national hero and Mel Gibson's character in "Braveheart"). With an additional day in Glasgow you could make a day trip to see Edinburgh as well. Then we did the WHW walk over 6 days, which is a lot of walking (minimum 15 miles, max 22 per day). The Walk ends in Fort William, where we rented a car (through Easydrive) and booked an amazing stay at Glengarry Castle Hotel for 2 nights (many hotels to choose from), using this time to explore the Highlands. We drove out to the Isle of Skye to tour the Talisker Distillery, stopped at the not-to-be-missed Eilean Donan Castle, and also drove to see Loch Ness (not saying if we saw Nessie or not). Finally, we returned the car at the train station in Fort William, did some shopping there, and took the afternoon train back to Glasgow (about 3.5 hours). We stayed at the Holiday Inn at the airport, which made it easy to catch our early morning flight.
