Neabsco Creek Boardwalk的点评
点评：Neabsco Creek Boardwalk Trail is the place to be if you are interested in birdwatching, spotting various wildlife like beavers and snapping turtles or the Asian invasive “Snakehead” fish while enjoying nature in an estuary setting. There is a north and south entrance; the north located at Rippon Landing Park and the south at the Julie J. Metz Wetlands Trailhead. However, more parking is available at the north entrance. The south entrance has a two-story observation deck with benches. Dogs on leashes are allowed, and cleanup is the owner’s responsibility. Metal print signs of eagles, turtles, and beavers are attached to railing throughout the walk. The boardwalk is quite wide and the path leading to the boardwalk is paved making it ADA accessible. There are benches strategically placed along the walk. We saw red-winged blackbirds, blue herons, turtles sunning themselves, a “Snakehead” and beaver dams. The only downside was the young man speeding and weaving in and out as he rode his bicycle on the boardwalk. The boardwalk is open every day from dawn until dusk except for weather conditions like ice and snow. Highly recommend.
