Great and Fun Ferry Ride

点评：This was the highlight of our trip to the Pacific Northwest, which included coastal British Columbia, coastal Washington and Oregon. We were intrigued by the 16 hour ferry ride from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. The day of our sailing was clear and beautiful, so we enjoyed the gorgeous scenery all along the route. We had a cabin which was basic, but comfortable. There are many places to sit on the ferry and in good weather, many people are outside on the deck to view the scenery and the whales. We were originally going to drive from Prince Rupert to Jasper NP and then south through other national parks and into Washington. However, when the forest fires inundated BC, we decided to stick to the coastal areas, so we took the ferry back to Port Hardy. This time the weather was not good, with a low ceiling and rain much of the time. The ferry was still enjoyable.
