基尔肯尼城堡的点评
点评：Kilkenny Castle - worth the visit, but left wanting more.
What you do get to see of the castle is really well done. The restoration is beautiful and the rooms that are open are presented with a lot of care. I just wish you could see more of it, and that more of the castle was fully refurbished and accessible. It feels like you only get a small slice of such a huge building.
The main gallery room is massive! The scale of it is impressive and the paintings in it are very historical. Tip, if you don’t do the guided tour, you can download information regarding the gallery online which helps give context to what you are looking at.
The tea room is a bit of a disappointment. In a setting like that they could have really done so much with it, but it felt like a missed opportunity.
That said, a trip to the castle is still a highlight for anyone visiting Kilkenny. The grounds are massive and perfect for a walk, and the rose garden is a welcome, quiet respite from the crowds.
