At 20 minutes before closing a male employee approached me to say WE ARE CLOSED the pointed at the door. I knew it wasn’t close to 9p so I asked if I could finish looking at the artwork in the room then depart. I motioned to an area containing 10-15 pieces of art. He said NO, WE ARE CLOSED while stepping right in front of me impeding my movement. I told him that it wasn’t near 9p and told him I thought he was being unreasonable by being so forceful with me and I wanted to report the incident to management. I asked for his name but he wouldn’t provide it. When I started to take a photo of his name tag, he turned it over and hid it with his hands. I asked why he was trying to hide his identity. If he believed his behavior was reasonable then he would have nothing to hide to have the matter discussed with museum management. So I took this picture of his face. This employee within inches in front of me to physically impede my movement for no legitimate reason. He was also rude when asked to explain his actions. He just kept repeating WE ARE CLOSED. So I displayed the time on my phone for him which clearly showed that the museum was no where near being closed. Awful employee, awful experience. I will always remember this museum in a negative light because of this rude man.
