点评:We visited here as both myself and my husband love historical monuments. We walked from Stirling town centre which was approximately 2.5 miles with the majority being flat. When we got to the monument the shuttle bus was out of action (I assume because of the icy conditions), so we set off on the walk up to the monument. This was quite a steep walk through the forest area, and appropriate footwear would be advised. On arrival at the monument unfortunately it was too foggy to see anything view wise, but that didn't put us off! We entered the monument only to be told that due to the ice the top viewing point of the monument had been closed. It was the bit we were most looking forward too (in the hope that we would have been above the fog) and would have appreciated the option to return later/the next day to see the viewing point on top, however that wasn't offered as an option.
The monument itself has three floors (not including the view point) which all have exhibitions on them. The exhibitions were good and informative, and some were also interactive. The tickets were fairly cheap, however anyone who suffers with mobility issues would struggle with the amount of stairs/small stairways.
In my opinion it is definitely worth a visit!
