点评：Such a beautiful place - we live locally and still go most weeks. A steep climb but plenty opportunities to stop and rest and small activities to keep children engaged along the way. The monument itself is stunning - lots of steps but the view is spectacular. The cafe has the best scones and if you go first thing they are will warm out the oven. There’s also some walks in the woodland if you want to extend the walk and that’s beautiful in all seasons. Bus / shuttle is free as well.

I would be remiss to not talk about the staff. Everyone is always so happy and friendly. Special mention to shuttle driver Sally who is the highlight of my daughter Harriet’s day. Taking her on the bus and talking to her and letting her participate. Every day she asks to go and see sally and she’s a small part of what makes the Wallace monument so special. Keep it up Sally!
