点评：First class guided castle tour today with knowledgeable and friendly guide Leanne, who is a real asset to the estate!
Having visited the gardens multiple times, it was very special to actually see the inside areas of the castle. The authentic and historic interior felt very homely as opposed to most country houses and castles which operate as museums.
Leanne knows so much about the family and the history of the castle. With just myself and husband on the tour today, it felt far more personal than as part of a group.
The architectural quirks and original decoration and furnishings made history come alive. Coupled with learning more about the family's past, the tour provided real insight into how special this place is.
Thanks for a truly memorable visit, Leanne. This tour is a must-do if you live in, or visit, the area. Oh and it's a bargain price too at only £10.
