Good Car Museum
宝马博物馆的点评
点评：If you're a BMW fan we are sure you would love this museum. We weren't but felt it was worthwhile checking out a car museum while in Germany considering all the big brands that come from Germany. We also saw that it was near Munich's Olympic Park area and felt that it was also worth checking out.
We thought this was a good first car museum experience and it did an excellent job explaining the history of all its products including aviation, motorcycles, cars and everything between. The exhibition is called "cars 'n' cubes" and that's one thing we didn't enjoy because you were going from one box to another and there were some bottlenecking including narrow staircases, small doorways and tight spaces. You can get up close and personal to many of the cars too. There are quite a few interactive exhibits dotted throughout the museum and many spots to take nice pictures of the cars and displays. I enjoyed the roadster, Italian influenced and speed record areas.
The cost to enter is 14 euros and there is a reduced price of 8 euros for students and seniors. There are cafes on site, BMW headquarters are nearby and the BMW Welt is connected by a walkway. It is also a short walk to the Olympic Park from the BMW Welt and that area was very nice during our visit in June.
It takes about 30 minutes to get here using public transport with the nearest U-Bahn subway station being Olympiazentrum or about a 15 minute drive from the city center. There is lots of parking at BMW Welt and it is pretty reasonable. We spent around 3 hours in the area going through the museum and having a picnic at the Olympic Park.
