点评:It's an easy five-minute ferry ride from Tomo No Ura, and it was a highlight of the last trip to Japan. On a nice day, it is absolutely beautiful, especially during cherry blossom season.
There are plenty of hiking trails to explore, some leading to great viewpoints over the Inland Sea, and it likely won't be too crowded. This is a good place to bring along a picnic lunch, as food options on the island are limited, and there are several very nice picnic areas with picnic tables.
I'd suggest marking the ferry landing spot on Google maps so you can find it again when you need to. While the trail maps and signs are good, there are quite a few trails, so it can be confusing to find your way back to the ferry landing spot. Ferries are quite frequent.
Note: some of the seaside hiking trail was washed away by a typhoon, and at time of writing it had not yet been reconstructed. However, there are still lots of other hiking trails to explore. While trails overall are in good condition, hiking boots were helpful in exploring the hillside trails.
