Underwhelming and overpriced
Niner Wine Estates的点评
点评：Wow! What a disappointment!
We are well travelled Australians who have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the World.
I researched where I could take my wife for lunch for her birthday along with my son, who lives locally and I settled on Niner Wine Estates.
I even got recommendations from other local restaurants like Novo in SLO - now that is a great dining experience for half the price of this joint.
Sure, the surrounding buildings and landscape are lovely, but that was it…
Why did the guy on the door hand us a sip of wine on arrival and then keep us waiting, shuffling our feet before someone could escort us to our table?
Why did the extremely boring waiter look like he wanted to be anywhere else than serving tables. He was incredibly arrogant and superior and consequently deserved his $10 tip as a mark of appreciation for his extremely underwhelming service.
Why was the wine sold at $20 a glass when it was no better than an Australian wine at $10 a bottle?
And why did the much lauded pork dish comprise half fat and gristle and a bit of edible meat and the rest of the plate was filled with cabbage and black rice - even I could have slapped that together?
And don’t talk to me about the cost of the meal!
