点评:After seeing images of Blue Canyon, I decided to book a tour with Micah to see the place (and photograph it) in person. There are many very scenic places in the Northern Arizona and Southern Utah area, and they are usually located on federal lands and can be visited on a tour or on your own, or have become tourist traps. This place is hardly known and you have to see it to believe it. It is that stunning and there are almost no tourists. If it were not on the reservation, it would absolutely be a national park or someone's gold mine. Micah was an excellent guide. He is an anthropologist by training, a Hopi priest, someone with an in depth understanding of both the geology of the area and Hopi culture and a nice guy. In the end, I was glad that it was complicated to see this place, as having Micah as our guide made it so much more of a special experience. We also added on Coal Mine Canyon to our tour, which we enjoyed as well. The Navajo side can actually be visited without a guide, but the roads can be dicey when it has rained, so you may want to consider adding the Hopi side on with Micah if you are already visiting.
