点评：When we first found videos and images of Blue Canyon online, we were instantly enthralled. However, we learned that it is closed to the public and can only be visited if escorted by someone from the Hopi Nation. That is where Hopi Tours and Micah Loma’omvaya came into play. Micah is a tribal member, an excellent guide, and a genuinely nice guy. He is also an anthropologist by training, a Hopi priest, and has an in depth understanding of the geology and history of the area. He taught us not only how to respect the Hopi lands, but also the Hopi culture, and way of life. We were fortunate to be the only two people he was escorting into the canyon that afternoon. It made the experience very special and intimate. It goes without saying that Blue Canyon is truly unique. It is little known and off the beaten track. You truly have to see it to believe it. It is that stunning! Being in its private, pristine location on reservation lands, gives it its own mystique. The views will leave you breathless. Thank you, Micah, for helping make it such a special experience.
