点评:I've read the 1-star reviews with sympathy but wanted to stick up for EH as our experience was quite different because of our circumstances. As an older couple (both EH members) just seeking a nice day out who happened to arrive on a dry, bright day, we were able to enjoy the beautifully landscaped and atmospheric garden, and the Narnia display was a delightful add-on. The charity doesn't have the budget of a Chatsworth, but we thought the display was thoughtful and imaginative: I genuinely felt emotional going through the back of the wardrobe past the mock fur coats to stand by the lamppost, as I had longed to do as an 8 yr old after first reading the book nearly 60 years ago! The dining table was exquisite, and Mr Tumnus's parlour was cosily recreated in the beautiful library; the throne room was enthralling 3 little girls when we walked in, and when they'd gone, we snatched the chance to play at being Lucy and Peter for a moment! So we thoroughly enjoyed our day and all the staff were very warm in their welcome.
