点评：I did it AGAIN! I loved my gorilla trekking experience so much that I came back and did it for a second time. Umar picked me up at the airport and it was such a happy reunion. Big smiles all round and I was welcomed back with so much joy - I feel like family now. I spent a week travelling around Uganda and Rwanda with Umar. Of course, the gorillas are such a highlight but there is so much to see and experience. People are very friendly and kind, and I felt completely safe and well looked after.
The hike up the mountain gets the heart rate racing but with the guidance of the rangers and porters we safely made it up to the gorillas. The gorillas were a little more spread out this time, some were up trees and others grazing on vines on the ground. My heart raced again when the silverback decided to pass by me, but what an experience to be so close to these magnificent animals.
We also spent time relaxing at Lake Kivu in Rwanda and visited Nyungwe Forest National Park. Umar was so kind as he helped and encouraged me over the Canopy Walk, which is a suspended bridge, 70 metres above the forest floor.
Such a wonderful holiday and memories I will treasure forever. Thank you Umar - I couldn't do it without you.
