Worth seeing, but very touristy and challenging
新天鹅堡的点评
点评：We visited on a very cold, wet day which obviously did not improve our experience. We had a pre-booked reservation and ticket collection was no problem but we were not informed that we would not be able to enter the castle until 12:45 and we collected our tickets at around ten thirty. We did not realise this until we made the trip up to the castle and then had an hour and a half to wait outside in the cold pouring rain. Regrettably there is only a small souvenir shop and coffee bar with no seating at the top, no-where warm to wait, so do check the time on your ticket before going up and of course allow time to either walk up or take the carriage. We were certainly not the only ones turned away by the gate police to wait in the rain for the allotted time. The tour was only half an hour long and though the guide was very good we would have appreciated a little more time to admire the completed parts of the interior. This wonderful castle suffers from its own popularity and is very touristy, commercialised and ultra busy with a definite incentive to just push visitors through. I would think that your experience would be better with an organised group, but if on your own, remember you won’t get under cover inside until the time on your ticket. A restaurant nearer the castle would be great as would better accessibility, I am fit and able bodied but found this a very challenging experience all round, especially as I caught a chill.
