点评:This is the perfect museum for any train lover. I grew up loving trains thanks to my model railroading father and the DB Museum was at the top of my list to visit. It's just a short walk from the actual Hauptbahnhof. It was much bigger than I expected and my husband and I spent probably 3 hours exploring all of the detailed exhibits. It was well laid out starting from the very beginning of the German railway to present day. We enjoyed the historic engines and cars on view both inside and outside the museum. The information on the trains was mostly in German, but the website has a highlights tour that's in English you can follow along on your phone or your can easily translate info via google translate on your phone. Any model railroader would have a field day in this museum vast Modelarium. There is an impressive model railroad which comprises 500 meters of track, 80 square meters of model railroad. The special exhibit on the evolution of the train toilet was fascinating. The gift shop had a great overview book on the entire museum in several languages as well as lots of fun train related gifts. If you are into trains, I highly encourage you to block out half a day at least to check out the museum.
