点评：I've been a member at Ponds Forge on and off for well over 25yrs. I am currently a member because my youngest son is a member of the local swimming squad and trains there throughout each week.Therefore, I spend an inordinate amount of time here. I am a member and use the gym and pool. Unfortunately, this centre is mismanaged and woefully maintained. There has been a dead rat in a bait box that management have been aware of for at least the last month. It has remained behind the spectating area for over two months. I took the action to remove the bait box and decaying remnants of the rodent because of the lack of inaction. The leisure pool is broken and this has impacted on the lane swim sessions in the main pool. The gym equipment for the most part is the very old technogym equipment from the early 2000s when the gym was upstairs. The old equipment from Hillsborough has been moved into the gym, however, it needs cleaning and one Wattbike out of 8 actually works. The pride in maintaining this centre has dismissed and management seem to pass complaints on rather than ensuring action and solutions are implemented. The running of a centre is a joke. I know many people who share the same feelings. FOR EXAMPLE, there is a systematic problem when you report to a duty manager that there is a dead rat near the spectating area and the response is 'I know, I have reported it a while ago', yet no action has actually been taken in that time. The gym is filthy and requires a deep clean and a refurbishment. The roof in the gym still continues to leak. That problem has been an issue for several years. I pay membership, parking fees and regularly spend money at the cafe. The centre is a disgrace and I hope someone from @everyone active steps up and changes the management culture of what was once a flag ship international sports centre and at the very minimum regulatory standards of cleanliness are met. I hope this thread is passed to environmental health.
