Well Oiled Machine! Car Ferry Pico to Faial Round Trip

点评：I have used similar services in multiple places in the world by now and must admit this was probably the best organized one - from the single lanes designated for cars for each of the COLORED LINES=CONNECTIONS/FERRIES BETWEEN islands, to the almost luxurious experience inside the actual ferry - very impressive and very inexpensive for the type of service compared to the rest of the world - well done Azores!
We ordered tickets online but once you get in the line you still need to pick the physical ones in the office inside of the terminal - something worth knowing and planning for. The driver is the only person allowed at the time of boarding the car onto the ferry - the other passenger need to go through the regular ferry gate. Once inside you park the car/they help with that as usual - you back up so you can drive out upon arrival - they don't park them as tight as I have seen in other places so that was a nice change :) about 10-15minjutes before arrival drivers need to go down and attend to the cars - so then outside of the terminal you pick up your fellow travelers - a bit unusual part for me but it all worked as if it was done a million times before, and it does work well! :)
Schedules change and they are pretty good with the updates - including once during strikes :) the website is up to date
Inside there is nice bar with snacks and hot drinks. Restrooms also available - like i said a well oiled machine :)
