点评:We visited this museum as part of a two week road trip around Texas and New Mexico, having diverted to the El Passo area specifically to visit this attraction.
We arrived at opening time and were a little surprised to be in a queue of cars to get in. We were told to park somewhere outside the museum for the motorracing.... we naturally pointed out that we were there to visit the air museum.
"You can't.... theres a car racing event today". I pointed out we had come from overseas and didn't have the option to "Return later" - which was met with ammusement as opposed to any element of assistance.
(I had checked the website and there was no indicatiuon of this)
An offer to be able to at least view the displays outside the museum (As a Radar Engineer the display of missiles and radar would have been extreemly interesting) - but no. Not only unhelpful but almost a snide enjoyment of our predicament.
So I would give this place a miss. You may turn up and cannot see the museum due to a festival of interpretaive dance, be denied entry due to a breadmaking event or a macrame competition underway. God forbid they prioritise letting folks visit the aeroplanes.
