Totally overpriced and for a family of 4 cost close to £230. Outrageous really
The Polar Express Train Ride at Wensleydale的点评
点评：I have very mixed feelings about this. It is defiantly not worth the money at all for what it is. It’s all money making.
You arrive at the entrance where they let you into the main event area - there are food stalls selling over priced food and merch that costs the earth.
They when have you all wait in a big marquee where some people get up and start singing - it’s horrendous. It has nothing to do with the event at all. They then call you by coaches on the train -
When you are at the station platform - the train comes and they play the polar express music and snow is falling - it’s super magical and makes up for the mess you just witnessed beforehand.
You then get on the train and it’s not very clean or comfy - it’s really shabby but the medical moments are still there. The staff really do make the experience - without them, it would be terrible. They play music, dance down the aisle , give you hot chocolate and a biscuit along with a bell. It’s so lovely and a super special memory making moment with the kids. They love it.
You are on the train for a decent amount of time - you then meet Santa - it’s super brief but the kids love it.
You then go back to the station and get off the train where you have to walk through the overpriced gift shop. The best buy was you could pick your own seat and sit together - this year they allocate your seats - that doesn’t work for us at all.
We paid £55 each and there was 4 of us, then the admin fee and then the parking fee. It almost cost a weekend away for 1.5 hours. How they justify it I will never know.
If it wasn’t for the kids - we wouldn’t go.
