Definitely worth visiting for the view.
King John's Castle的点评
点评：Its many years since I've been here we took our children when they were young. They are now in their 20's so a trip to see the castle again was on our list.
The lady at reception was very helpful we walked from George hotel on a beautiful sunny day (not always raining in Ireland!) We headed to the cafe first to have coffee and cake.
The leaflet provides some information but it's worth Googling before you go. I'm not sure if audio is available We didn't ask. Plenty of information to read maybe the displays could be better. The volume on a few of the screens was too quite and deafening on others.
Views from the castle are spectacular though. Its what you make of your visit. We enjoyed it but I can understand why the poor reviews say go elsewhere like Bunratty.
Bunratty is geared for tourists it was a ruin restoredI believeby an American. .
King John's castle is authentic but I cannot get the image of King John as a lion out of my head from Robin Hoods Disney film.
Nice little pub nearby Katie Dalys for a cold drink.
