点评：We traveled to Kenya, three families this August timing our travel with the great migration. The trip was organised by Safari Monks. The planning for the trip went on for 7-8 months. I had some special requests for places to include like Samburu, Ol’ Pejeta etc. Abhilash was extremely attentive to our requests and accommodated them well. He planned the itinerary in such a way that we could enjoy the diversity of wildlife by selecting the sanctuaries, keeping our interests of seeing some special wildlife species in mind. The accommodations at each of the sanctuaries he selected for us was excellent especially the one at Ol Pejeta. Watching hippos outside our rooms in the night was a mind blowing experience!
During our travel many things went wrong- the flight to Nairobi was delayed by almost a day, the hotel in Nairobi refused us dinner initially, the resort at Mara didn’t accommodate us for the first day due to over booking etc. But Kirti, Abhilash and the ground team in Nairobi ensured that we didn’t face any real problems. They were just a phone call away. In fact in Mara they not only arranged a better accommodation for us for one day at the 11th hour, they ensured that our schedules were not disrupted at all and to top it all, they arranged a presidential suit for us for the remaining days of our stay at the original hotel! Hat’s off to them and their team for all the pain they took for us.
The safaris were excellent, tremendous sightings-l. A big shout out to our guides Duncan and Martin- experienced, professional and polite, always eager to show us more. In fact on the last day we felt a bit over saturated with the sightings of the big five and other species. Will love to explore Africa further with this team. Thank you for everything Abhilash and your fabulous team.
