点评：What a holiday! I have just returned from one of the most fun yet relaxing experiences ever and I have this place to thank for it.
We are 4 friends (2 riders and 2 non riders) and we all just loved it. As soon as we arrived we were given a wonderful welcome from the hosts Darren and Sarah and their 9 lovely dogs. We were shown our apartment, the 2 bed apartment was perfect for our group. We also spent a large amount of time hanging by their lovely pool which I think possibly has the best views from a pool ever.
Actually the scenery in this area is some of the most breathtaking I have ever seen in Spain and the views alone are worth the trip.
And I haven't even mentioned the horses yet! This was the whole reason for our holiday and they didn't disappoint. There are 8 horses (and a mule) here and each rider was given the perfect horse for their ability. The horses are beautiful and very well cared for. Riding along the trails and seeing the spectacular mountain top views from horseback was one of the most special experiences ever. Our non riding friends were also able to meet us on the picnic ride and the bar ride which was lovely for all of us.
Darren and Sarah made sure that our holiday was perfect for us and were so accommodating to our needs. They are lovely people, great hosts (and so are their children) and very good company. They were always available to answer questions and so helpful. They managed to source sold out tickets for the stunning Caminito del Rey cliffside walk, they sorted transport (with the lovely Franscisco) and Sarah's cooking was phenomenally tasty, we always at well at the Cortijo.
One of the highlights of our trip was an evening meal at a hilltop restaurant, well off the beaten track, run by their friends Carmen and Lorenzo. The food was delicious and views were stunning but it was the evening percussion entertainments that will stay in my mind forever!
I can not recommend this place highly enough. We are already planning our next visit in 2023.
