A wonderful store with lovely staff

点评：Recently had a "girlie" trip to Northallerton for shopping and a nice lunch. To be honest, Barkers by itself ticked both of those boxes. What an absolutely wonderful store full of tempting things to buy. We got lots of Christmas present ideas and a few treats for ourselves.
We then decided to lunch in Barkers 1882 Bistro which proved to be an excellent decision. The location (top floor of the store) was perfect and the staff were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely lunch and a particularly nice bottle of wine. We lost track of time (wine?) and had a train to catch - again the staff were lovely at hurrying things along for us.
A minor gripe (in support of your wonderful staff). We were not able to add a tip onto our credit card payment and had no cash to tip staff separately. I am sure this happens regularly as people carry cash less often. Your staff thoroughly deserved a tip which we would have happily done.
Please consider setting up your credit card payment system so that tips can be added - and obviously passed onto staff.
