大教堂歌剧博物馆的点评
点评：The works of art that make up the museum are stunning. Bearing in mind that most of the statues are original works of art by world leading artists it is incredible to be able to see them up close and in person.
The layout and walkthrough of the museum leaves a lot to be desired. You begin on the ground floor, and proceed through rooms 3, 4, 5, and 6. Then it all goes awry and the next room is 12, then 13, then 9 and on to 8. Having reach room 11 you then go to room 27 before you work back through lower numbers. Even asking the museum staff, who were very helpful, but also couldn’t help but wonder at the lack of planning and coordination in the numbering.
The 2nd and 3rd floors were closed for us today due to an educational trip so we didn’t get to go out on to the viewing balcony.
The audio video overview of the history of the done and cathedral were good and done in both English and Italian alternatively.
