点评:Theodore Roosevelt National Park is vast and awe-inspiring with colorful vistas and panoramic views. It is well worth taking the time to visit and enjoy nature. There are two units, North and South, with the southern one being the more visited. I think they are both special in their own way.
During our visit to the North Unit we experienced many sights of Bison as well as geological features. These docile animals are still wild animals and should be treated as such. Do NOT approach them for their safety as well as yours.
Our visit to the South Unit was on a cold, blustery, rainy, day where park rangers were strongly suggesting people did not hike on unpaved trails. If this is the kind of weather you experience don't be disheartened, go anyway. Even though we did not get to hike the planned trails we still enjoyed the scenic drive through the park. You will see many vistas and sights along the way. Some of what we saw were: bison with calves, prairie dogs, and a bald eagle.
