点评:Just along the road from our hotel in Medora is the southern entrance to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The park is absolutely huge and there are three ‘unit’ areas of the park, the North, the larger South and in between the Elkhorn Ranch. The little Missouri river flows through all three and the Maah Daah Hey Trail connects all three. The main units of the park all have scenic drives and we chose the southern unit to explore. We were looking forward to viewing the wildlife and we were not disappointed; we viewed wild horses that had decided to walk across the road and stop in front of cars, prairie dogs, much like squirrels, so many all running around and burrowing holes in the ground, and lastly the buffalo who, on mass, had decided to block the road providing a perfect opportunity for close up photos. A fantastic day out!
