Worst Dive Ever

点评：I was very excited to dive in Tahiti. This trip was a bucket list item I've always wanted to do and don't plan on returning so I wanted it to be special. I booked two dives for June 7 and one dive for June 8. The dive master is kind of arrogant and doesn't listen to what the customer wants. He insisted on diving 20 meters or deeper each dive and then gradually rise to 10 meters. Everything worth seeing is in the first 10 meters.
I wanted to interact with the turtles. There were four right above me. I started to swim in that direction and got waved back. Now towards the end of the dive, we did get a little time to see the turtles. But in each dive, the first half is going 20 meters deep over dead or uninteresting coral.
I had enough today. 20 minutes into the dive, I decided I was just done. I asked where the boat was and indicated I was returning. I made it back to the boat just fine. I've been diving longer than the divemaster has been alive. He got mad at me for leaving but I said it was the worst dive ever and I had enough of wasting my time. I told him unless he wants to give me my money back, I have nothing more to say.
I know these guys will say I'm in the wrong for leaving the group and Im arrogant American, but if I want to swim with the turtles and fish in the 10 meter zone, why not do just that for at least one of the dives?
I will say that Maria behind the desk was quite nice and deserves 5 stars for her customer service.
