点评:It was a little confusing coming in - they have recently changed where their entrance is. There wasn't anyone at the entrance, we just paid by machine, and there were no maps or anything so it took a little while driving around to figure things out. The actual rock outcrops (sioux quartzite, a theme in this area) are in a stretch of the creek that's only about 2 tenths of a mile long, so the scenery is very concentrated, once you find it. There are trails on both sides of the creek and you can just walk down on the rocks by the creek as well. The trails are marked at the start and then you are on your own - the King and Queen trail sort of just peters out on a ridge near railway property when you just can't go any further safely. The rocks are easy to scramble on to get views. It's absolutely gorgeous. There is also a trail that goes the other way along the creek with much less impressive views but it's nice if you want a longer walk and I saw a deer, geese, heron, and wild turkeys. They have adorable little camping cabins, so if you want to stay in the area and would rather rough it than hotel it, it would make a good base.
