Wildlife rich coastal reserve

点评：Travelled by boat from Sanlúcar before a approx 40 minute guided walk through the reserve. The boat ride itself was very enjoyable with large numbers of waders on the foreshore, including curlew. Great to see a couple of osprey circling overhead and the flamingoes in their natural habitat.
The walk was interesting, with a very informative guide. The hide offered an opportunity to view deer and wild boar. First time I had seen wild boar, but a number of our party from other UK locations described them as becoming established in areas like the Forest of Dean.
Overall a very pleasant trip if you are interested in natural history and the environment. If you aren’t then might be better placed exploring the town of Sanlucar.
Be prepared for midges on the reserve and take adequate precautions.
