Chichen Itza jam packed day

点评：We did the Chichen Itza tour and really enjoyed it! Long day but very worth the trip! Our guide Julio was very informative and patient and really made the whole thing worth while. We booked the all inclusive which was an additional $10 and worth it too with water at every stop a sandwich for the drive up and two drinks with lunch (which were $12 for 2 coronas at the lunch spot as it is).
On the drive from Puerto Aventuras Julio spent the time teaching us about Mayan culture and astrology and we had the opportunity to get our chart done which is very cool.
Our first stop was a cenote (be aware you will be charged an additional $5/person for life jackets which are mandatory) where we had an hour to swim and jump off of the platform or zip line into the water (you can also just go down the steps).
The next stop was a Mayan village demonstration and tequila tasting, also where we had lunch which was decent.
Then we went to Chichen Itza where Julio did an hour tour with us explaining everything about the spot with additional photos and showed us some fun spots to take pics. Then we were able to wander the grounds for another hour
We didn’t get to see the sacred cenote which I would have liked to have seen.
Last stop was a bit rushed at Valladolid, we had enough time to grab some churros and a snack and jump on the bus before dark. It looked like a nice place to return if you were staying in the area though.
All in all a great experience definitely would recommend!
