The main Vienna Imperial Palace
皇宫（霍夫堡宫）的点评
点评：We came to the Hofburg on our first day in Vienna. We knew for centuries, Vienna was ruled by the Holburg family & they had 2 palaces. One of them was The Hofburg, a lavish complex of buildings right at the heart of the city centre. The size of the castle grew with the family empire from the 13th century until before WWI, when the Neue Burg (New Wing) was opened.
Today, the Palace houses the offices of the president, the Sisi Museum, the Spanish riding school, the Austian National library, & it's home to government workers.
There are so much to see at the Hofburg & we had to spend 5-6 hours there. The only issue for us was the lack of signs & directions once we went past the Michaeler Gate & arrived at the complex - it took us ages to find the Imperial apartments which we didn't know they within the Sisi Museum.
No visit to Vienna is completed until you visited The Hofburg. Highly recommended!
