点评:The gravel road, in the National Park, which requires payment, was absolutely appalling. It hadn't been graded for months and was badly corrugated. In our 4 WD, we couldn't do more than 20 kph and considered turning back, but we kept going in the end. We let the tyres down for the return trip, which made it slightly less uncomfortable. In an ordinary car it would have been horrendous. It is unconscionable that Point Ann is promoted as a tourist hotspot for whale watching in the season, but they can't even grade the road. I hate to think what overseas tourists must think as their car gets shaken to bits. A lot of money has been spent on lookouts, boardwalks, barbecue areas and decent toilets, but none was apparently earmarked to keep the road in good condition. Bad job, Parks and Wildlife!
