Poor experience with owner, organization, and communication. Good tour itself.

点评：My Google and Tripadvisor review: TLDR: Messy operation, irresponsible owner, did not communicate effectively and overall left us very frustrated.
I realize my review will be in the minority given the positive reviews this company has received, but if I were to book a tour again, I'd avoid this guy at almost any cost. We had a large group of 5 adults and 3 children age 6 (which was indicated on our booking). We arranged to be picked up at our cruise port, but couldn't find our guide when we got off the ship. We waited 45 min and finally another tour operator helped us get in contact with the owner. He blamed us for the miscommunication (even though we had an email confirming and had also called to confirm a few days before). We had to wait another hour for our guide to arrive. This delay caused one in our group to not be able to go. Our guide (not the owner) was wonderful and runs his own operation through highlander private tours. I feel bad that he had to deal with our already grumpy group since it wasn't his fault. He was doing a favor to the owner of this company since they didn't have enough guides. We booked this tour 4 months in advance, and the owner forgot about us I guess until 2 days before and had to call in a favor. Because we had children, we had to make an extra stop so that our guide to comply with local laws with required car seats. He had to buy them at the store, delaying our tour further, even though we had indicated 3 children on our booking. Again, our guide was great and understood our frustration. He tried to fit in as much of our itinerary as possible, but we were unable to see some of the places because of the numerous delays.
When we got back to the ship (10 min before departure time), the owner of this company was waiting for us. He argued with my sister (who made the booking) and again tried to pin the blame on us for the miscommunication. She showed him the email thread which confirmed the pickup site, time, date, presence of children, etc and he was still obstinate. We were hoping to get some kind of compensation (at least for the person in our group who had to skip the tour because we started too late), but the owner never contacted us as he said he would, and ignores any attempt at contact now. Book with someone else, that's my advice. There are plenty of other options that won't cause you stress.
