Steep walk up, but so worth it!

点评：I’m oldish and out of shape, so I huffed and puffed my way up the hill to the castle. We parked in a lot along the river below, and walked. There’s a narrow paved road/alley that leads up to the castle.
The only way to see the inside of the castle is by a guided tour. It was in German, but we were given a sheet of paper explaining each room in English. Our tour guide would also give brief explanations in English as well.
The inside of the castle is beautiful. It was fancier than most of the other castles I’ve been in, which can sometimes be quite plain and utilitarian. I especially liked the balcony overlooking the river, and dining rooms. There is very nice woodwork throughout the tour, and stained glass windows. Beautiful furniture and artwork. There’s even several sets of knight’s armor that make good photo ops.
The tour lasted about 45 minutes. We did have to go up and down some staircases. Photography is allowed inside this castle.
