Exceptional hike of the Arctic Caribbean

点评：We had the most fantastic experience on the Arctic Caribbean hike at Sommarøy with Rune as our guide!
Since we were the only ones booked for the day, we began about 10 minutes early. After an hour-long scenic drive, our first stop on Sommarøy was at a hotel for a quick restroom break. Rune also shared that we could refill our water bottles there, although we did not have that need. The hike itself began with a steep ascent over a rather rugged terrain, but thankfully, there were sturdy ropes along the path to help us pull ourselves up. We were also very glad to have sturdy hiking boots. Despite the clouds and strong wind, the view from the top was absolutely amazing and well worth the effort.
Our way down was much more gradual and had plenty of stunning views too. We had brought a lunchbox, and Rune let us decide whether to eat in the car or outdoors. We opted for the latter, and Rune found us a calm and stunning sand beach that was perfect for our meal. We finished the hike in ~two hours, so the entire adventure (including the drives to/from Tromsø) lasted about four hours. Finally, on our way back, we stopped at the hotel again and bought some hot beverages.
Throughout the hike, Rune shared lots of interesting and useful information, including tips on what else to see and do in Tromsø and other Norwegian cities we planned to visit. Everything was well planned and executed. We highly recommend booking this experience with Sommarøy Adventure!
